It is well with my soul

What does that mean though?

Are you there yet?
Are you still searching to find that so called “well” the song speaks of?

A friend of mine sent the story to me of a person long ago who like Job lost everything, his children, his home, his business, all that survived was his wife and in the midst of all that loss and grief he penned the song it is well with my soul. Do you know how much growth and faith you would need to be at that place where instead of lashing out and cursing God you say it is well?

As I stopped to ponder on this for a bit, I thought how deeply rooted I would have to be to encounter this level of peace, to be at a place where nothing shakes me, nothing moves me and in the midst of whatever my sentiment becomes it is well.
Wow just thinking about it gives me shivers because that is a level of growth that would surpass time and space in any timeline

If you recall at the beginning of this journey I expressed that this walk is about choosing the narrow road that leads to Christ and today I was jolted amd reminded that the narrow means choosing God over and over again Inspite of.
It is choosing to keep my eyes affixed on Him as I rest in the shade of His embrace
This morning I exhale, I smile and whisper Lord thank You for this message and reminder that even when the sea is rough and the storms rage it is well and with my soul it is well
