Love Like God Does
A friend of mine recently asked me if I was the sun if I would shine even on those who hated me, my response was that I didn’t know but there was also something else that made me question why I answered the way I did.
If my Heavenly Father lives in me like I say He does, shouldn’t my answer be a resounding yes? What this means to me is that I definitely have more work to do on me, if you’re honest you would also begin to look into what area you need to work on and through.
I know the most common thing to say is that God understands because when He created us He never made us perfect and this is actually true but this is also a crutch we use when it seems like what is required of us appears to be too hard.
Loving those who hate us is a hard task but it is a requirement, being generous, caring and understanding to those hardest to display these traits with is proof that we are at a place where we have totally replaced self with Spirit and by so doing who knows those who find it hard to love us will re evaluate their actions and learn about God by our actions towards them.
Today as we go through let us make an effort to be mindful of what we do to others, let us reflect and exude love in its purest form even when it’s the hardest to display
