The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 that love is patient, kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not easily angered.

My  thought on love stems from both the Bible and my own experiences over time.

Love is hearing what your partner is saying even when they aren’t speaking

It’s praying together through all seasons even when you don’t feel like praying

It’s knowing their good and bad sides and still making the commitment to stand

It’s understanding that the vows made were very important to you both and as such must be adhered to

It’s leaving the last scoop of their favorite ice cream for them

It’s being  that sounding board, back rubber, head soother even if you’re going through your own storm

It’s supporting the children together while they learn the importance of a united front

It’s holding them in your arms giving them a sense of comforting and calm after a long day

It’s making their favorite meal and serving it in love

It’s about acknowledging when you are wrong and apologizing sincerely

It’s enjoying the good times and and getting through the low moments

It’s smiling when thoughts of them cross your mind

It’s you can’t wait to get home to see them to just inhale their essence

It’s saying thanks for being there

Thanks for always standing

Thanks for simply being

Love is Him, Love is me
