Love Inspite Of

While I never knew who he was or what he did until his passing it breaks my heart to see how some Religious people reacted to the death of Nipsey Hussle. No he did not sing Gospel, no he did not present himself in Church every Sunday however a life lost is just that, a life lost.

I decided to do some research regarding this man and realized that after living a particular lifestyle he turned it around and began to do more for his community. Now even though he didn’t live according to what the Religious says is Godly he did so much more than what many so called Children of God have done to date

God tells us in His word that we must love everyone, pass no judgement and teach along the way, my question therefore is…. where is the love?

Have we gotten so blind and caught up in living that Bible toting life that we have forgotten what being Christian is all about, are we so far gone that we can’t see past our own flaws enough to be compassionate?

Christ Himself ate with sinners without hesitation and He welcomed everyone so again I ask, where is the love, where is the compassion

In the end he lived the life he did, he loved and he served, in the end he left behind a family who thought the world of him, in the end it’s our duty while on this Earth to love beyond what we can see, in the end our hearts need to be checked before we go checking the hearts of others

So today I pause to send prayers up for the ones he left behind praying that as they try to wrap their heads and hearts around their loss they will be comforted

Jah Bless
Peace Reigns
