Fasting and Growing
For your spiritual growth:
With all that we do daily in God’s eyes that is not pleasing to Him and we ask forgiveness for, we must also be willing to forgive those who have so called offended us. No matter the severity of the offense God requires that we forgive them so as to purge ourselves of the bitterness that eventually develops within us. The word of God tells us if we do not forgive others, God will not forgive us and rightly so for He also tells us that we must love others as we love ourselves (if we don’t love ourselves, well that’s another story for another time ☺) God says forgive and let it go, release the anger, release yourself. If hate is a part of us, we cannot do that which we are called to do. He will not hear our prayers either for 1 Peter 3:12 says the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous and His ears are open into their prayers” if we are not righteous in thought, speech and action, God will not pay attention to what we pray. We are called to love as He loves, He requires that We live perfectly as He is perfect (Matthew 5 vs 48) what a task right, what an instruction, how Can we do this? We do this by taking daily determined, committed and unselfish steps towards that which is required of us. God made us spirit beings but we hide behind the excuse that we are only human and we are flawed, this we use as a crutch, (God’s word,) when we go to Him, He asks that we go to Him in Spirit and truth, if we did not have it in us He would not have written it(hmmmmm) the point of seeking God in this season is to get to that place in the spirit where we can plug into Him so He can teach us Himself so we get the true versions not the watered and diluted one🤔. Now the process of forgiveness and walking a spirit filled life does not happen overnight, it’s a process but a process that we must be willing to go through. If we are focused on changing us, if we are focused on living for God then we must take the time to devote, to dedicate, to learn, to grow in Him and with Him.
